ABOUT ONE SOUL YOGA

One Soul Yoga is a yoga studio and wellness center in Sulphur Springs, Texas formed by a cooperative of local yoga instructors to bring Sulphur Springs and surrounding communities a place to experience yoga in a non-competitive and encouraging space.

Our studio offers a wide range of classes for all skill levels that fosters mindfulness and physical well-being. In addition, we offer pop-up classes, workshops, special events and retreats on a regular basis.

We are located at 1008 Main St in Sulphur Springs. Our studio is a warm, inviting, home-like environment. Our studio also has a small shop inside offering yoga gear, books, crystals, jewelry and handmade goods.

MEET OUR CO-OWNERS/INSTRUCTORS

DEANNA MCDEARMONT
CO-OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

DeAnna (E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP) initially began yoga teacher training to deepen her own personal knowledge of yoga and at the time, had no plans to teach. However, the more she got into her training, she soon found herself leading classes and loving it. As a result, DeAnna has completed not only teacher training, but continues to learn and broaden her knowledge with other courses and certifications that she can bring to the mat. She loves the positive impact yoga has both physically and mentally in all ages and she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. DeAnna believes everyone can benefit from yoga! DeAnna likes teaching a slower paced class that emphasizes mind/body awareness, breathing and deep stretching. She has a special interest in the chakra system, sound healing and meditation. She holds practitioner certification in Sound Healing as well as 200-hour Kundalini, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Trauma Informed Yoga. LEAH CONNER
CO-OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

Leah (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) has practiced yoga, off and on, for 25 years, but in 2018 decided to gain more knowledge about the actual history and lifestyle of yoga by pursuing her 200-hour teacher training. She loved the training so much that in 2019, she completed another round of training and is now a registered 500-hour instructor. Her desire is to bring positive energy and compassion to the mat for everyone from beginner level to advanced. Leah loves the ancient teachings and sharing how yoga can help with healing both physically and mentally, from physical and/or emotional trauma, and how yoga is a powerful tool for achieving overall health. Yoga is wonderful exercise, but there is so much more to gain than physical fitness! Leah is certified in Yin, Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga. RACHEL FINNEY
CO-OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs.  She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches.  While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat.  Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment.  It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today.  In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.

ALLISON MARTIN
CO-OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

Allison (RYT 200) is a wife, girl mom, grandmother, nature lover and adventure seeker.  Allison received her 200 hour yoga certification in August 2019 from Purple Lotus Yoga.  She found her love for yoga purely by accident in 2012 when she was looking to change up my usual workout routine.  As she attended classes, workshops and retreats she found that there was so much more to yoga than just the physical aspect and started noticing a change in her mental well-being and overall health.  While she loves a sweaty power flow class, she also enjoy a nice relaxing restorative class and pretty much everything in between!  Allison hopes to share her love for yoga with others as she continues to grow in her own practice. You can find Allison leading Open Flow classes in the evenings.  When she's not on the mat, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

LIBBY SHARPE
INSTRUCTOR

Libby is a 500-hour CYT and hold certification in Thai Yoga. Libby has been fascinated with yoga for as long as she can remember, enjoying 'Lilias, Yoga and You' when she was a teenager. Her practice always contained a desire to teach and share yoga and the wonderful benefits and enjoyment it brings. Life takes us along many detours, but a re-commitment to yoga led her to recently begin her yoga teacher training. While still discovering and exploring forms of yoga, she currently brings her own quirky, eclectic spin to Hatha Yoga. She also is a longtime practitioner of breathwork and enjoys leading groups in ecstatic dance. To schedule a private Thai Yoga session with Libby, click here.

Bailee is a Certified 200 HR Yoga Instructor, who completed her training with Practice Everywhere. She initially started her fitness journey three years ago after her third child was born. She fell in love with her routine, the results and how it made her feel! Her true passion is Power Yoga. Bailee believes building strength on your mat will prepare you for those hard moments off the mat. She has a desire to share that showing up for yourself is half the battle! The other half is giving yourself grace.

SCOTT MCDEARMONT
INSTRUCTOR

Scott (200 HR CYT) is a physician and certified yoga instructor who found an interest in yoga after experiencing the health and calming benefits it has on the mind and body. He obtained his 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2019 at Our Town Yoga with Melissa Pierce. His interests include a broad range of topics on yoga in relation to health and wellness.  He is an occasional substitute yoga instructor at One Soul Yoga and enjoys leading Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra. Outside of his medical practice and the yoga studio, Scott enjoys tending to his flock of chickens, traveling and family time.

TRISTON PULLEN
INSTRUCTOR

Triston began his yoga practice in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. In the fall of 2014, he moved to Santa Fe, NM to study acting and began teaching gentle flow yoga and Meditation. Triston has his MFA in directing from the University of Memphis where, through independent studies, he research ritualistic theatre and its healing nature. He believe that the earth, our bodies, and the energy around us are vital sources for healing and enlightenment. Triston is a Level One Usui Reiki Practitioner and a Kundalini Reiki Master. Reiki is a form of energy healing that can help physical pain, mental health issues, built up trauma and an array spiritual wellness issues. Triston is currently working on his 200-hour certification in Kundalini yoga. Triston is a teacher and healer, at heart, and can’t wait to help you tap into the energy around us to open your chakras and to allow deep healing to take place.
